Game Legerdemain 12" (Quality Control HQ Records) Game's previous LP, No One Wins, came out on Beach Impediment Records in 2019, and while I liked that record, after I saw Game live, it was clear they had an even better record in them. Legerdemain gets a lot closer to capturing Game's live power. I was going to write that Game had changed up their sound since No One Wins, but I went

Thealbum's second track, 'Father Stretch My Hands, Pt.1', borrows its title from Barrett's 1976 recording of the same name. (This is also the track with what I believe to be the album's most regrettable lyric: "Now if I fuck this model/ And she just bleached her asshole/ And I get bleach on my T-shirt/ I'mma feel like an asshole.")SL I do like the Art Brut's one a great deal just because if anyone has ever spent a night in Berlin, they can relate to that: "I can't believe the state I'm in" it's a wonderful lyric.I love Tim Burgess's and Anton Newcombe's because it's just so bloody weird. It's such a weird piece of music that one, in terms of: everything about it is wrong, but it works wonderfully which is the sort of Inmany respects, I've always been a solo artist. Butthen at the same time I still buy vinyl. I steam a lot of music and cost means that the vinyl I buy is something I have to think about, it's rather like being a teenager again. But I love the artwork, the inserts, the images, lyric sheets, and the static feeling of taking the record out of the sheet.
